As the kids head back to school and the warm summer months start to turn cooler, many of us find our social calendars also undergoing a change. We shift from our usual outdoor summer favorites to the fun that fall has to offer in Valparaiso. Here we will look at five fun things to do in Valparaiso this fall.
Around Valparaiso this fall, during September and October, you can enjoy a fun-filled hayride at the Buckley Homestead in Lowell. They offer both tractor-driven and horse-drawn rides throughout the beautiful grounds of the homestead setting. You even have the option of bringing a group of up to 25 (more if kids are in attendance) and filling your own hayride. Imagine you and 24 of your closest friends out for a ride.

Each fall our Valpo friends at the Bellaboo’s Play and Discovery Center bring out the pumpkins and get ready for fall fun. Come and paint a pumpkin to bring home and liven up your front porch. The regular outdoor play areas are filled with hay bales and mazes for the family to enjoy. Stuff your own scarecrows, make some art with apple stamps – even enjoy fall-themed drinks in the café. This is the perfect outing for the family to enjoy around Valparaiso this fall.
